:huh Froch is mostly despised (on ESB anyway) and Witter has never been hyped as a p4p fighter. He is what he is, a decent world class fighter who looks to be coming towards the end of his career. The only hype around Witter was to do with Hatton. A fighter with a similar talent level.

I'm not one to base my opinion off a fighter's accomplishments on paper. I care far more about demonstration of ability, and then factor in quality of opposition after the fact. That's why I don't participate in frivolous abstract p4p conversations with the rest of the clowns. :nod
What is a shame is how some dumbasses will put down a masterful fighter like Kessler as 'hype', who dominated all of his top 10 opponents, including 1 near-elite fighter, losing only to Calzaghe and dropping 5 rounds in 39 fights only prior... Then hype up trash like Berto, Dirrell and what not who have STRUGGLED with sub-top10 opposition. Ridiculous.
I have read a lot of quotes from Froch and his fans talking about how he wants to fight Calzaghe and really believes that he could beat him. I have read even more crap about Witter and how he just HAS to fight Hatton. Say what you want about Hatton but he would break Witter in half. It would be a one sided beat down. The promotors in Britian must have been working overtime to make Witter look like a great fighter hoping to cash in with a big fight with Hatton. The Americans and the Europeans both have their bull**** spin machines.
No doubt. People say I am all pro-Euro, but I brought down Hatton from day 1 of his needless overrating and Wlad Klitschko. I wish fight fans could just like the individual fighters they like and leave nationalism at the door. Who cares about such a trivial nonsense, sooner or later the Earth will be under 1 planetary government anyway, it is inevitable.
