Everyone picking Froch...

Seems to be predicting a late stoppage, relying on Groves fading down the stretch, gassing and getting finished.

Surely this is a worrying sign for Carl when nobody thinks he can beat Groves on points or stop him before his gas tank supposedly runs out.

If Groves stamina wasn't perceived as an issue, how does this change your opinion on the outcome of the fight?

i dont think groves is tough enough, punch resistance also means how badly it effects your stamina, co-ordination, thinking and allsorts. his chin aint that bad he hasnt been sparked.
but those clubbing shots effect george alot. no way froch outpoints groves, unless he gets a few kd's during the fight.

Who is everyone? i have talked to at least 50 people about this and i would say 90% are going for SGG by KO.

no issue at all, just because people see a late froch stoppage as the likeliest end it doesn't mean anything else is a win for groves.

Lol. You're either a ****ney or you've talked to Jim Watt 50 times.

Froch has never been knocked out in his career, surely that's enough for this '90%' to at least consider alternative outcomes.

FWIW i don't think stamina will be that much of an issue as i see Carl winning inside 6 rounds.

Froch would have been knocked out if there had been 30 seconds left in that 1st round.

before the first fight i thought Groves did not have the best of chins and i thought Froch would beat him, not easy, but beat him quite handily.

I wanted Groves to win although i like both guys because he was younger and would have a good reign as a British world champ.

When the fight started I could not believe how good Groves was and after a few rounds thought he was going to stop Froch or cruise to a victory. but whatever anyone says he was running out of gas and by the time of the stoppage to me looked like Froch would have stopped him then or in the next round.

Now unless Groves either goes for it and tries to get him stopped in a few rounds or boxes the whole fight and keeps out of the way if his stamina can hold out , I see it going the same as the first fight and Froch winning in about 10

The big difference will be that Froch should be focused enough this time to avoid walking onto a big right hand in round 1.
It took him a few rounds to fully recover as it was a huge knockdown.
Fair play to Groves, good fighter and has a decent future, but I think Froch will be up for it this time and he will do it in style.

Groves is the biggest puncher he's ever faced and nearly had him out in the first fight, i'd say its a pretty reasonable conclusion to draw

Firstly there's no way you know that. All evidence points to this not being the case.

Secondly, there wasn't 30 seconds left.

Nearly? He knocked him down but it wasn't close to a KO. Carl didn't even look like going down after that.

Not reasonable at all. Fanciful wish thinking of the casual fan IMO.
