It's normal to support local guys or maybe even from a country, but when "race" is the prevalent factor over and over again...I have a problem with that in regards to sports...

It's a political situation...not a sports one. I'm sure other agendas surface at times, but the black one is more in our faces on this board, the most evident...

 

How many times does it have to be said? It's not just the Mayweather's the last time I checked Paulie M, Juan Diaz, Berto and Cintron accused him and they aren't affiliated with them.:deal Also many other fighters said they would require Pac to test if they fought him Cotto and JMM both come to mind.

 

I disagree. How many Black American express threads have you seen posted here? How many Mexican Express? Or Polish? Or Puerto Rican? Or Pinoy? Or Irish? Again I don't have a problem with it but just keep it consistent please.

 

Manny is fighting margarito because the pretty one turned chicken and ran away IS the correct answer.

 

List of possible fighters if fight with mayweather doesn't happen.

1) Cotto rematch (he wants testing SO SKIP)
2) Margarito

that's all top rank will let him fight?

There is so many other fights that can be made, Paul williams being the top choice.

 

im a pacfan and i agree this fight bull****. Since Floyd ducked Pac there were better fights out there than Margarito who doesnt deserve the payday.

JMM or Bradley at 140 would have been perfect since Floyd left on his honeymoon with Ellerbe.

 

2 differences

Pac's is a more documented and factual DUCK Floyds was speculation spawned by his worst enemy Arum who clearly has an agenda against Floyd and for Margo..

other difference- Pac gets away scott free with the blatant duck and Floyd gets crucified for fighting anyone other than his consesus most difficult fight and even when he fights them they make up excuses (Mosley)

 

But Manny already agreed to testing
and he already pummeled cotto.

 

Polish people are from a country, so are Irish, so are Mexicans and Pinoys, etc..

They support fighters from their countries...not necessarily their race such as Asians, Latinos, Caucasians, etc.

The TS is a hardcore black agenda drama queen and every thread he starts fundamentally hides that agenda. Like I said, other kinds also surface at times, but not as often as at least that guy's black agenda...which he does....consistently.

 

My point is that the people who will be reminding the boxing fans of Pac's alleged doping have themselves forgotten about it. What better way to dump these accusations than by giving Pac the FOTD award. The BWAA members aren't stupid; they wouldn't give Pac that award if they think he isn't clean. Sure there will be some people who will question Pac but those small voices will be drowned by the sensible majority.

 

Pac is down to 2 or 3 fights and he'll call it quits. I think he is going for legacy and/or money nowadays. Any title North of 147 is good for his legacy and a fight with Floyd will give him both money and legacy. After fighting the fight that *most fans* wanted (JMM, Barrera, Morales) and weren't expecting (i.e. Diaz, ODLH, Cotto), I can forgive Pac for going for Margo to try and snatch his 8th title. I would have preferred Martinez obviously; but any fight below LMW apart from Floyd doesn't add very much to his legacy. I look at Pac as a legitimate welterweight now so any fight below 147; to me is him picking on a smaller man.

 

It's called make as much money as you can if you see that you can't be helped. The reason ODH and Floyd left Arum was because he had excuse for getting them the fights they wanted. Arum protects his investment, good for him not good for boxing. Every fighter that Manny has been in with in his last 5 or 6 fights had just been beaten one or 2 fights before. How many unbeaten fighters has he faced, in the last 10 years. How many fighter Floyd had already defeated did he fight. What about the Mosley fight that Manny out right ducked with absolutely no shame. Now, stuff like this con be thrown from both sides. I still believe the fighter have to believe in themselve to make it to that level running from another fighter is out to the question. Promoter like Arum are the ones the create the problems.

 

FOTD is nothing but a popularity contest like most voted on awards are. Pac plays the good guy roll, is enduring to them and gracious so that alone is good enough to win over PBF despite him having a loss and a draw on his resume this decade and the betting dog against PBF. With fighters and people who are inside the business a lot of them are very suspicious of Pac and some have come out publically while others haven't. Like I said before the longer Pac refuses test they worse it will end up being for him. If next year these guys try to make a fight again and Pac won't test to ensure a clean fight, the number of skeptics will only continue to grow because there's no legit reason as why not to test in the steroid era of sports that we're now living in.
