I talking about the styles which are instilled into the fighters in a trainers stable.

So (and you can correct me on this), in Britain

Ingle camp: fast reactions, elusive, hands down, counter punchers

e.g. Prince Naseem, Witter, Johnny Nelson, Herol Graham, Thaxton

Calzaghe camp: very fast hands, high output, good stamina, no weights

e.g Joe, Maccarinelli, Rees, Pryce, Cleverly, Lockett

    who else?

Jack Kearns and Jimmy Deforest can be mentioned here (Manager and trainer of Jack Dempsey). According to Dempsey Deforest`s career as a trainer went back to the days of the London prize-ring rules (from "Championship Fighting", 1950).

Ingle and Calzaghe camp: weak opposition and good matchmaking.

D'Amato is the first that comes to mind. Peak-a-boo guard, most of his fighters had really quick hands and combination punching was drilled into them.

Emanuel Steward... Jab Jab ...Pitter pat slapping left hook...With a heavy heavy right hand.

Cintron/Taylor/Lee/Wlad ALL have the same style. They're all straight right hand fighters with Lee being the straight left hand. This is why I think that Steward could do wonders for a technically flawed fighter like Edison Miranda. NONE of Stewards fighters are inside fighters, he doesn't deal with any of them. They're all 1+2 move fighters. Nacho Beristein is like the opposite training style of Steward, He is a MASTER at inside game.

well Beristain is the master of the inside game, but he also has good boxing technique at distance...
