Wee Barry wins everytime for me, I love his honesty and pleasant demeanour. I used to like jamie moore but he sold his soul by claiming the Audley v haye fight was in his words 'a real 50/50 that either fighter can win'. I like pundits that tell it like it is, for all the **** he gets Max Kellerman at HBO is a good pundit imho.
Woodhall is on 5 live with Bunce and does a lot of the BBC amatuer coverage, last he was employed full time was on Setanta, fantastic boxer that uses his experience and knowledge to break fights down for the fans. Top top guy!
Woodhall. He points out technical things that I miss, so he def. adds something to most fights for me.
Kellerman is a pretty good pundit I agree, but can't interview for toffee. I like that he calls people out on their bull**** like the WBA and blind judges..... But that voice..... he sounds like a 12 year old WWF addict.
Can you remember his 'calzaghe's fight plant to beat rjj', t'was an absolute gem of a breakdown on setanta,
Yep, Richie is very good in pointing out what a fighter needs to do to win and where he's going wrong. His analysis on a Povetkin fight that Setanta broadcast was just brillient.
Yeah thats what does it for me. I remember during HBO's pre or post fight build up to Mayweather-ODLH where Lampley made the assertion that nothing in MMA was quite as skilled as Boxing at the highest level, and after when the camera went back to the studio, Kellerman flat out disagreed and said there are just as skilled athletes in MMA, or something like that. However its as you say, his voice is just too annoying.
:rofl:rofl:rofl john cena fan 'fo showa homie' Its his bull**** calling i love, he calls fighters 'belt holders' rather than champs. But I agree with you on the interview aspect being ****, however I prefer him over Larry Merchant who looks as though he has alzhiemers and looks like he has forgot what he is doing in the ring and what he has to ask.
As an aside I really like Antonio Tarver..... behind the mic at a press conference he's an utter bellend, but from the commentary position he's superb. Emanuel Steward is sometimes really good, other times really bad, saying Williams was fighting the perfect fight against Martinez when he was being caught with left hands at will.
