Neither. The fight where Joe truly proved his mettle was against B-Hops.

I understand what you mean by "masterclass", but what made/makes it such for me is the fact that Calzaghe had to use his full arsenal of resourcefulness, and in the end, he out-Hopkins'ed, Hopkins!

While that's not a "masterclass" in the traditional sense, nor in the context suggested by your poll options, it was still a "masterful" display of what I believe truly defined Joe's greatness as a boxer.

Please explain how Lacy was "proven"..Only a fool would say he was.

If you guys are going to jock a UK fighter WHY NOT FROCH?????:think

At least he is PROVEN and can throw a proper punch...has balls to fight guys at their best..and doesn't need the ref to stop the fight for no reason.

Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins before Joe...twice...was Taylor greatness?

Willie Pep won a fight without throwing a punch.

The Welsh rabbit won an entire fight without landing a punch.

Calzaghe beat Kessler at his own game. He stood in front of him and fought toe-to-toe.

That is more impressive than Ward's victory over Kessler.

Kessler! When he was a live opponent not the shot version Froch struggled to get past

Na mate, that wasnt a masterclass. Calzaghe lost most of the opening rounds. It was a brilliant performance - arguably his best - but this thread is concerned with the near shut out Masterclass where the opponent is bemused battered and bewildered

That only shows how average Kessler is.

Thats a bit much imo. The fight could of gone either way. Taylor(rematch) and Dawson beat Hopkinks without much problems , you would have to believe they achieved greatness also.

Lacy no doubt, I remember people bringing up the Salem fight KD and saying Lacy will be too much for Joe. :rofl

RJJ was shot to ****, even us Brits will admit that.
