Whats your guys thoughts on it?

I dont go out of my way to watch it like i do with Mens boxing but if its on ill watch it if its on boxing card.

I think the quality is nowhere near as good.

But one of the best amatuer fights i have ever seen was between 2 girls and it was an absouloute war it was like hagler vs Hearns but with girls.

I think women should have the right to box but I don't particulary want to watch it.

Laila Ali beating on Christy Martin I think it was is one of the most brutal things I've ever seen in the ring in recent years.

Most women boxers can't punch hard enough to spark their opponents out, and very few are good finishers. Bad combination if the other fighter is ballsy and has a good chin.

I say let them box if they want to. I'll watch it if it's on.

Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Regina Halmich, Vonda Ward were the best of the 21st century.R

Regina actually had a 54-1 record. Impressive stuff. You could throw Christy Martin into the best female boxers of the past decade or so list too.

Back past then, my knowledge gets kind of flaky.

im in the same boat as Gaz really

Callme sexist but me and my trainer agree that women arnt built to fight. but f they want to im not stoppping them, i tried explaining this stance to amy that posts on here in the training forum but she had none of it.

la-califa i have only watched one female pro boxing match and it was pretty crap it was on setanta on a german show.

Exactly my point of view on it. Same with woman's tennis and other woman's sports.

I do like to spar with them. It's a great way to work on your defensive skills and even if they get through, they don't hit hard anyway.

On the undercards of Tyson & Chavez cards Christie Martin used to appear. She was pretty good, with a powerful left hook. Check it out if you can get a copy of these fights. Alicia Rykter was also very good. For eye candy Mia St. John was a pretty good boxer & had some boxing talent.

To be honest Martin was on the downslide by this bout. In her prime it would have been a good match.
