The "Marrickville Mauler" takes on "Bazooka", who takes it and why?

I feel Fenechs pressure grinds him down but I'm sure most people will go with Gomez

At 122, Gomez. Higher than that, Fenech.

Great matchup. Fenech is a lot better than most of the comp. Gomez faced at 122. And Fenech was very physically strong at that weight. Gomez would have to use all his boxing skills and refrain from going toe to toe. I think Gomez had the power to keep Fenech honest and would win a close decision by boxing and refraining from making it an inside fight.

Good ****ysis Saad. Personally, I don't think Gomez's power proves quite enough to stop Fenech from catching up with him, but I can't say that I am too confident in picking a winner.

Conditioning and work rate. I see Fenech being too busy. Fenech was so fiery and physical with an iron chin. Gomez would certainly test it and takes the early rounds with clean punching and distance. But I see Fenech coming on real strong ala the first Nelson fight working the body and just limitless stamina crowding Gomez. Fenech close UD.

Very good breakdown! Gomez was a very decent *boxer* too.
    It's a 50-50 fight for me. .

gut feeling is Fenech but to be fair I saw a lot more of him than I did Gomez, who really knows, could go either way, there are many scenarios here but sooner or later Fenech gets on the inside then it becomes an exciting fight.

^^This! And we are assuming Fenech's hands are good to go.
