The board have ordered Rocky vs Cal Smith for the British , to be made by mid may & fought by end of July. Don't see this happening at all, for me I think with them both being un beaten match room fighters with world rankings , Fast Car will want to keep them apart for as long as he can. It's on twitter that J'leon Love is calling Rocky out, that's an odd one... One that Rocky seems to be keen on , but how does he do? Be a USA job for sure so would need a stoppage as he's not going to get a decision ....
J'leon showed in the Medina fight that he hasn't got the best set of whiskers. Also its him calling Rocky out which I find a bit strange. Rocky is up for this, also something to tell the gran kids that you were on the Manny v mayweather undercard.
I know I thought that was odd for Jleon to call him, though I suppose rocky has a ranking with the WBA & is the weakest of the S.middles from uk, (above domestic level sm's that is) Yeh rocky would be daft too not take the fight , and as you say jleon is prone to a big right, which rocky holds... So it's winnable , though not over the distance for me.
I am scratching my head as to why Eddie won't put his SMW's in with each other. It's a very deep division, a loss doesn't mean anything.
I doubt v much cal & rocky will fight at the min . Even as a British title it would sell out the echo no problem, city derby all that. However , he's all about stadiums ain't he.. Say cal managed to secure the WBC (the route they are heading) an rocky managed to keep a top 10 WBA ranking.... It's not hard to believe Eddie Ramps them up as britains biggest rivalry , the real merseyside derby all that jazz.. Then sells out anfield, goodison park... That's the way he works.
True, if both stay undefeated and one picks a world title up, it could be a nice money spinner for Eddie. I would fancy Rockys chances against J'Leon aswell. Still dont know who he's fighting tomorrow!
Rocky vs Smith will happen and they might even try to get it as chief support for Quigg vs Frampton should that happen. Makes a great case for PPV then
