Are the lonsdale gloves lace up gloves or are they velcro closure gloves. What size gloves did you get?
You can get Lace-up or velcro. I got lace-up 16oz, they have 14, 16, and 18. Also got little velcro glove converters so I can take them on and off quicker. This is the place to buy them, by the way: http://www.boxingdepot.com/bx-gl-342.html
