Been feeling a bit down lately and have had guys like Womack, Arguello, and Machen on the mind. (Machen's only included here cause I was thinking of him, I'm not adding him to the list, since him committing suicide is just speculation)

Fighters like Turpin, Valero, Foreman, and refs such as Richard Green and Mitch Halpern also took their life.

Who're some others who've done the same?

Arguello may not have committed suicide I believe his life had begun to turn around at the time and it was a political assassination.

It really is a shame what happened to him- He was a promising fighter and always was pretty exciting in the ring. I wish we could've seen more from him.

@Journeyman92 how do you figure that Arguello was assassinated? I've heard that his suicide was questionable and that his wife may have done something, but I've never heard ANYTHING about it being a political conspiracy.

What Foreman is that? George is still going strong as far as I know.

Arturo Gatti - although there were some suspicious circumstances around it.

Edit: @drenlou beat me to the punch.

Didn't name him because there is a lot of controversy.

Also, not a referee expert but learning Mitch Halpern commited suicide let me down tbh, I liked him and watched weeks ago De La Hoya-Quartey were he made a terrific job.

Papke shot his wife. And then himself. In the heart. Four times.

That doesn't sound too healthy though. Remember there is no reason to suffer with any of this on your own, there are 20 billion online sources that are a help and more than one phoneline that you can call to feel out any ideas and get some help. You're well thought of here but this place is just an internet forum, there are pro types who can help you with those feelings.

Obviously not just aimed at Sixes, anyone can feel blue. Here's an American helpline thing that anyone who wants to can get on to any time they feel like it, a good idea.

    Jock McAvoy. Very sad story.

In 1951, he was stricken with polio and used a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He had survived both diphtheria and a broken neck prior to his bout with polio.
Suffering from insomnia and depression, McAvoy committed suicide by overdosing on barbiturates at his home in Partington, Cheshire, England, on 20 November 1971

His daughter, Freeda Foreman committed suicide nearly 6 years ago, now. I know that she wasn't a "pro's pro" or anything, but she did have a couple fights, and I figured I should put her name down.
