What are some tips for "boxing" your opponent, or fighting on the outside effectively?

outside means you have to step in to reach your opponent. Tips are use head / body movements to set your opponent off his focus. Good jab and foot work, once you create a slight angle, so your opponent is off balance shoot jab or lead right hand like mayweather. Do defense movement after each shot and recover the safe distance. That's exactly what Floyd does if you watch his fight: slips after right hand punch or pivots after jab.

He's very unconventional on the outside. Odds are most fighters aren't quick or experienced enough to shoot a lead and duck out quick enough before their opponent either times the punch or times the duck.

There's some advice in the general strategic advice thread and other threads on the topic.
