Again, I picked Loma to win. He fought terrible, no sense of urgency for almost 7 rounds. The few rounds he let his hands go, he showed that he is on another level to Teo. Unfortunately, he did not have enough rounds for me or the official judges to give him the win.
Lopez was beaten by the better man that night. Plain and simple and no, it wasn't that close. 115-111 Kambosos.

No it could not have, if it was that tight then the champion, the man who brings in the most coin, the man in his home town would have got the nod. This fight is a clear unanimous decision for george.

Teofimo Lopez never went up the gears and looked more tired than he should of after his first round assault which took more energy than it should have due to the adrenaline release and getting knocked down in the process. I think his confidence left him after the first round and his dad fed him nonsense in the corner without giving him the honest truth and a proper gameplan. Poor trainer. The middle rounds Teofimo was throwing shots with no sting on them and Kambosos head movement was befuddling him whilst he was following Kambosos around the ring. He wasn't cutting him off he was just following whilst being predictable throwing looping shots that Kambosos could evade with head movement. The later rounds Kambosos started to slow down and Teofimo recharged a bit landing harder shots because George was tiring and ultimately he should not have needed to take those later shots if he put his hands up more. Teofimo did well to knock Kambosos down but George bit on his gumshield and won the next round. Yes, I think it was a great victory if you take in all the information prior to the fight. I wrote Kambosos off because of the Selby fight which was quite a dull affair. I also wasn't fully invested in watching it, either. Kambosos did great and it was a good victory. I don't think his ''Ring IQ'' is super high like George's dad claims in an interview. He's just being a proud father and obviously a bit biased because of that. I thought it was a very smart gameplan and he seemed to want this much more than Lopez did. Lopez was more focused on the ''next fight with Haney'' than he was with George. He underestimated Kambosos and has been spoonfed delusions by his father in training camp. Lopez also stated he was injured ''before'' the fight. You aren't supposed to mention injuries before the fight because i think it makes the fighter look bad. Teofimo and his father are living on pure delusion and copium right now.
