Personally I think brook up to r6 he was doing well taking away spences front foot fighting at times once round 7 came and eye problem brooks style is all about eye and hand coordination timing and reflexs so it was downhill from there.

Not many...but will need to rewatch the fight again. Brook will make anyone look worse than they actually are. He works off reflexes...its a hard thing to fight against. Brooks a tricky man to fight. I dont think the rest of them are quite so difficult. Thurman. Garcia. Porter. Khan. And whoever else is in the division. Pacman i see as his danger man...but he could be finished up at the top level any day now. Spence needs to learn from brooks mistake get in their and take these guys out when your still young enough to make the weight without problems. Young enough for the high workrate to hold up etc. And still hungry. Think hes gonna find himself in brooks situation before long...with the weight as he gets a bit older.

I say he looks even better against the rest of them tho. Spence is gonna have a top career. Dont think we,re looking at mayweather type talent...but probably be in that top 10 p4p for years imo.

Lacks speed, off balance at times and can be countered. Brook just missed on several occasions yesterday.

    Things he does well:
    1- applies relentless pressure
2- cuts off the ring (he has very good footwork in general, even defensive)
3- takes a good shot and keeps his focus
    4- good high guard
    5- targets the body
    6- great handspeed
7- very explosive combinations, can force openings
    8- snaps the jab
9- doesn't allow his opponent to clinch
    10- good accuracy

    Things he doesn't do well
1- loads up and telegraphs his punches
2- open to well timed counter punches
3- not enough head / upper body movement
    4- misses countering opportunities

Drops his left when throwing the right jab. This is what made Brook so sucessful. If you notice, Brook was countering Spences jab with his straight right.

He's a bit too straight up and walks into shots coming in. A little bit of head movement and learning to change levels would go a really long way. The rest of his game is pretty tight. A better use of feints and deception would work in his favor too. The lead power punches are devastating but they can become predictable.

His wide stance limits his movement, while it means he can throw hard combinations, if forced to move, his offence is reduced greatly. That wide stance also allowed Brook to get in and out of range quite easily.

His defence is rudimentary. He has a basic high guard when in a defensive position. He's forced to do this as he doesn't have the head and upper body movement to slip shots effectively.

He drops his right hand after throwing the jab, which is why Brook was able to counter over the top of it with his jab so effectively.

Like many southpaws he's a bit susceptible to the right hand, Brooks right hand lead landed a lot.

He squares up too much. Makes him easier to hit, also made it easier for Brook to clinch him as Spence doesn't created a barrier with his shoulder like some fighters who stand more side on. Spence needs to learn to prevent from being clinched, Brook was able to take away a lot of his offence by tactically clinching.

eye didn't happen until the absolute earliest round 8 and no impact on the outcome. non.
brook IS a frigging elite fighter, of course ANYONE he fights he'll exploit any shortages and make them look like much bigger flaws.

there's no ww anywhere that could hang with spence for any amount of time other than brook and Thurman. And no one not named Spence is coming close to stopping brook.

he will only become greater with each notable opponent. it's almost like fans REFUSE to accept when there's a "new" great fighter on the scene.

    ****ing enjoy him

This here is a very subjective and unbiased view. his talents far outweigh his "flaws" brook will make anyone look like they have glaring flaws when it's just tiny things that will just make him reach higher heights once worked on more thoroughly

agree with all except #4 in doesnt do well.
i think what makes him so good on the inside and the clinches, is the fact that he doesnt miss many openings so his opponents are taking shots theyre not used to taking, in the situations that they are taking them.
