    What a load of crap! Floyd already beat oscar convincinly and would have beaten him in second time too.

    Guys, relax. I was just overexaggerating with my statements. However, I do think that it is an underlying cause for Floyd's "retirement". I don't even actually think that he will stay retired. However, I think that he is trying to take some sting off of his first loss to pretend like it stemmed from being so uninterested in boxing. Hell.... it isn't as if Oscar is a full time boxer or anything. Oscar is out there working with his promotional company a hell of a lot more than he is in the gym working on his own boxing career.

    I am 100% honest when I say that I believe Oscar will beat Floyd if they fight again though. I don't even think it would be very hard for him if he was not rusty, in shape, and on his game. He doesn't have to be in his prime either.

    It was pretty obvious to anyone that watched the first fight that Oscar and Floyd could fight 10 times and Oscar would get owned every single time. I was expecting this thread to appear last night, I'm amazed a DLH nuthugger took so long trying to come up with this bull****.

    First loss: 1) Jose Luis Castillo 1
    Second loss: 2) Oscar De La Hoya 1

    If Floyd truly stays retired, it is only so he can duck De La Hoya. Perhaps the inclusion of his father in the opposite corner made him realize what was coming.

    It's a shame that not only is he ducking De La Hoya, but he's also ducking Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, and the list goes on. His legacy remains incomplete if Floyd Mayweather jr retires at this moment.

    Because anyone can fight whoever they want to fight? What's the difference between them fighting each other... or them each fighting nobody? It isn't as if people are forced to watch it.

    Oscar de la Hoya is now facing a dilemna, not a huge one, because he is the Biggest Draw in boxing, but one, none the less. I was going to make the trip to Vegas to watch Money beat him again. Now, no rematch. Thats going to cost Vegas and the MGM a lot of $$$ that weekend, but oh well. Cotto PROBABLY wont be able to fight by then after a tough Margarito fight. So is it Hatton in Dec? Cotto in September? Or who?
