i'd like to see maidana land something heavy to see Floyds reaction but i do think his (maidana's) power is a tad over-rated

Problem is Hearns chin is made of fine crystal. It won't even hold up in the dishwasher. I see him going down multiple times like Corrales did against Floyd.

No one's bragging about Hearns chin, but given his height, his boxing skills and his jab, I doubt Floyd would get to Hearn's chin before Hearn's got to Floyd's. That said, he did take a surprising number of flush shots from Hagler before he went down.

Urban legend. The boxers that put Hearns down could crack. Hearns didn't have an atg beard but he could take a pretty good shot.

    Agreed .

But both shots affected him , that was the only point I was trying to make .

Tommy had an unreliable chin , it was not glass .

Leonard was a very good puncher , and it took him 14 rnds to finally finish him off .

If he had a glass chin , the very first shot Sugar would have landed would have laid him out or at least floored him .

Everyone knows Leonard could bang .

Floyd would never come close to putting Hearns on his ass , come on now...

Maybe in your world , Floyd is compared to Hearns .

No true boxing fan would ever say there in the same league .

You showing your true ***** colors by whining and saying " then what would Hearns do to Manny then ?? "

This thread has nothing to do with Manny Pacquiao , Stay on topic .

floyd's experience with holding on tight to men saved him from getting ko'd against shane.

Maybe Pac should have held on tight to Marquez in that case.

You see the problem is you're trying to compare a guy who started at 130 lbs and is campaigning in his mid 30's at WW and JMW against a guy who started at WW and made his way to LHW.

If you want to hypothesize how FLoyd would do with Hearns, you might as well hypothesize how he'd fare against Andre Ward or Bernard Hopkins. It's pretty much that ridiculous to even try and compare.

Now the more suitable comparisons for FLoyd are guys that actually campaigned in similar weight classes to him and have similar builds. Specifically I'm talking about guys like ROberto Duran, Chavez Sr, Pernell WHitaker.

Guys like SRL and Hearns went all the way up and were champs at 168 and 175 lbs. They didn't start at 130 lbs, so why you'd compare someone like Hearns with one is just beyond me.
