He's fought limited opposition for the last 5 years and become louder and more petulant about his status. His only genuine titles are at 130 and 135 - anything he collected after those are carnival prizes.
The fact that he's a 5 weight world champion, you can make excuses all you like about who he beat for them belts but at the end of the day he's still undefeated and is in the record books for achieving it so quickly, and that's exactly what makes him number one, not to mention the mans actual ability which also sets him apart, just because he doesn't fight in the style YOU like doesn't mean he's not number one.
