The only argument you can make for Mayweather against Hearns is if it's Ronald Hearns.

floyd would surely duck Hearns by either fake retiring or saying Hearns PPV numbers were too small. this fight would not happen. but if floyd were in debt and got forced into the fight by the TV networks, he'd get kncoked out in the first or second round, with his head possibloy being torn off at the neck. totall mismatch annihilation win for the Hitman.

Floyd has no way to beat him. He doesnt have the power to hurt hearns and he cant outbox him on the outside. Hearns outboxed Leonard with the jab and not only that he showed that head to head his hand speed was close to SRL's. One of the biggest things I see is noobs underrate Hearns speed or neglect to mention it.

Thomas "The Hitman/Motor City Cobra (I like that nickname better)" Hearns Is as good of an example of how to box when your tall as you are going to get. Also keep in mind that Hearns was a head of Ray Leonard when he wa stoped in their first fight.
My pick is Hearns by decision 8-4 (12) 9-6 (15). I think Mayweather is a good finisher and would do well in 15 round bouts. However I think unless there is a stopage of some sort, which I think is posible in the late rounds. However unlikely to acatuly happen.

One of the worst possible match-ups you could possibly find for Floyd.

A great jab is the key to beating Mayweather and Hearns can win this with his jab alone. I don't really see what Floyd could do to win this. If he is content to lose while lasting the distance, I think he can. His defence is exceptional and if he goes into survival mode, I don't see Hearns stopping him. If, however, Floyd decides to push for a victory, a Hearns ko is likely.

A win for Tommy whichever way you look at it.

Hearns decision I think....depends. If Hearns swarms him I think he can stop him, if he chooses to box, Floyd survives.

Please since when has shane ever been a defensive master. that right hand puts him to sleep. he fought sacerd of MAyorga and after the fight was talking about how heavy handed he was.

Forrest put him down (although there was a clash before that right hand) Tommy would have put him away as well. i actually think Hearns out boxes PBF. tommy has incredalbe power but i don't think he Ko's every fighter at WW right now style make fights and the more defensive orriented fighter would more then likely last the distance with him like a Clottey aswell.

First, PBF would have NEVER fought Hitman. Second, if he did, big mistake. Hearns was fast enough and had that freakish height and reach at ww, to box his ears off. Most likely conclusion, Hearns by hight reel KO in 2 or 3 rd. Hearns, liked going after it hard, fast and early. And PBF would be in full retreat mode( frightened) and allow Hearns forward momentum. PBF has never dealt with the height, speed, power and will to win that he would see in Hearns. This fight is a huge mismatch. Please, no comparisons to SRL. He was as fast as PBF, way more power, great body attack. And if the going got tough, he would dig in and go after it...
