Same promoters. Floyd and his team want it. Khan and his team want it. Khan ranked at #2 in WBC rankings (Floyd's belt). Khan is a name opponent that is always entertaining. Showtime will accept it. No interim bout for either so neither will lose beforehand*. This will probably be on a UK PPV outlet which makes Floyd even more than he did against Guerrerro or would against Alexander/Berto etc. EDIT: *If they want it to happen in May with Floyd fighting Canelo and Khan fighting 140 tourney winner/Alexander then there's a chance it won't.
He will get the Mayweather fight at some stage. Floyd still probably regrets not playing hardball at the negotiating table with Hatton and ending up with pretty much a 50-50 split of the global pot for the fight.
