Frazier vs Chuvalo (TKO due to cheek fracture)

McCallum vs Curry (one punch KO)

Nunn vs Kalambay (one punch KO)

Frazier was just way too much for Chuvalo - too fast, too mobile, too damaging for a plodder like George.

Frazier no way. That was no fluke. He beat the hell out of Chuvalo with precision power punches. Thats no fluke. Chuvalos win over Quarry was a fluke though. He was getting his ass kicked and had his face horribly swollen when he caught Jerry with a hail mary left. The iron chinned Quarry went down and seemingly got up right in time but the fight was waved off. Not sure who to blame. Quarry legitimately waited a hair longer than he should have but Zach Clayton was known as one of the most crooked refs in the game.

Isn't Zach Clayton the same guy who referred the Ali vs Lyle bout and stopped the bout quickly and the same guy who let Ali hold and grab Foreman?

Why do you think McCallum-Curry was less of a fluke than Nunn-Kalambay? (not saying you're wrong, just curious)

Because first, Curry was a bit past it and wasn't as effective at 154. Second, we knew McCallum could bang. Curry had been stopped just the previous year and McCallum had stopped all of his challengers to that point. One might actually have predicted a stoppage. If you're going to go that far with a prediction then, how much bigger a stretch is it to think it could happen with one shot?

He didnt ref the lyle fight but he did ref the foreman fight. he also refereed benitez-palomino and somehow had palomino winning. ive talked to guys in philly connected to the sport and they said he always had his hand out looking for a payoff.

This might be a fluke, yes.
Seemed to be a thumb in the eye.

It was...a thumb in the eye...accidental, I'm sure, but Mugabi was insuch pain, that he was no good anymore and Thomas, to his credit, seized the moment and poured it on...what he was supposed to do, of course...but it wouldn't have happened without that thumb in the eye.
