If they fought right now, Froch would take it pretty comfortably.

Clevers has the ability to outbrawl froch but if he gets caught on the chin its questionable how well he would do.

This is the best british fight that can be made at the moment

i gotta agree with this to be honest!

  5. Agreed, Froch 118-110 x3 or similar.

If Froch goes into the trenches it might be a mistake, and would let Cleverly into the fight.

Stand off and box and unless he gets hit with a Iran Barkley type lucky punch, the fight is his to lose.

As in Barkley-Hearns luck punch? I wouldn't call that a lucky punch, although I've seen it referred to as that before....or is there a more obvious one that I'm not aware of. :patsch

I'd have to take Froch on this at the minute, but I don't think it'd be a complete walkover. Clev would make it a fight just on his workrate and his love of having a scrap.

I just think Clev may just nick this as Froch to-date has shown himself to be easy to hit. Clev is good fighting inside and has the punch output to REALLY trouble froch. I can see Clev keeping this fight mid-short range as long range froch is very underestimated and clev found it hard to break-down Bellew long range (he just ain't a calzaghe is he lol)
Froch will have his moments in the fight and it will be close but i think the judges will give it to Clev due to his superior workrate.
However, one thing is for sure the cobra is Game, he sees a bare chin he will pop clev and it may end in a KO/TKO. Its such a interesting fight as carls physical advantages in SMW will not be there against clev.

Right now Froch would take this one, but who knows how much Clev will improve in the next 12/18 months.
