This one's been done so many times. Unless Earnie lands the luckiest punch of his life, George wrecks him in one.

Despite his famous, shattering power, Shavers was actually a really poor finisher. If he tagged an opponent and the guy was still on his feet Earnie would lose the head and start swinging for the fences. George had a terrific chin in both his careers so I don't see Shavers sparking him.
Earnie had really static feet. This generated his power but meant he was anchored to the canvass when he missed.
Sometime in the first 3 rounds Earnie's going to miss and George is going to flatten him.

I honestly can't believe it is a question. A guy who held the lineal championship in BOTH of heavyweight boxing's golden ages against a guy who was knocked out by Stan Johnson, Ron Stander, and beaten by Bob Stallings.

I am going to disagree with Vince Voltage: Shavers could land his luckiest of lucky punches and it would not make the slightest difference. There is no scenario barring Foreman having a massive heart attack, stroke, or aneurysm in which Shavers could win.
