What an underrated win this is. Forrest dominated the P4P #1 in Mosley KDing him twice. This is a huge victory IMO Discuss.
Forrest was an underated fighter. Noone wanted to fight him because he was too much risk. Only reason Mosley took him on was because he wanted to avenge an amatuer loss. Forrest nailed him with a body shot that made Mosley scream in the ring, it was a hell of a shot. He was an excellent technician. The Mayorga fights tarnished his career a little but I think it was more him having no respect for Mayorga in the first fight and getting caught. The second fight I thought Forrest won.
Vernon said it best after the win. Timing and a consistent jab always beats speed. Smart fighter. I always wanted to see him lay it on Oscar, Mayweather and Cotto...blasphemous as that may sound to some.
Yeah but he also claimed he was the Michael Jordan of boxing and that left a bad taste in my mouth. If I was there I would have told him about that taste.
no he never he called Mosley the micheal Jordan of boxing and then claimed boxing was a linear sport and he beat the michael jordan. he then asked if that makes him the michael jordan
To which he concluded with "I think it does", and it was unbelievably awful for him to say that. Hoo-har, just kiddin'. Yes, a particularly fantastic performance, one that I was really not expecting as Mosley shot out of the blocks, swatting the body jabs away and threatening with the right, but hey, look how composed Forest was that night. He cast a spell on Mosley that night.
