Who wins tomorrow? If I remember correctly Foster pulled off the upset on Rey Vargas so my money is on Foster as Im drinking a cold Foster's 24oz.
A lot of people are saying that Foster is a massively underrated fighter. His career has been held up by outside the ring stuff/early losses/Covid etc. This is a really interesting fight.
Foster by late stoppage. He is too skilled and versatile for Hernandez. He will take Eduardo to Foster's home for imaginary friends.
Heck no. For most of the fight, Foster was getting outworked and just barely managed to outlast Hernandez. Rocky did prove he is in fact a skilled fighter. The biggest detriment was that he was too impulsive and that cost him the win last night.
Good call as in Foster got the late stoppage as you said. I believe going into the 11th Fosters corner right out told him he was losing and needed a knock out to win. For me going into the 11th had me stumped on who was winning, it was close with maybe a slight edge for Hernandez. I think if it had went to the cards Hernandez would have won since the fight was in Mexico.
There is no doubt in my mind that Henandez would have been awarded the fight if he was still standing after the twelfth round. I thought that the fight was pretty much even going into the latter rounds but not in Mexico. I suspected that all those close rounds were going to Hernandez. Foster did what he needed to do in stopping him. That was his only out.
To be fair Hernández fought all the way through and showed tremendous heart. His willingness to go out on his sheild says alot. All around it was a great fight. Hats off to Foster for showing up in crunch time.
