Frank won big time, he got paid to go to The States and fight the world champion as the main event, Frank couldn't lose.

He got humiliated in front of literally millions of people around the world who were probably laughing at how absolutely hopeless he is at boxing. He also got bashed senseless for 6 rds due to the fact that neither his corner or the ref were looking out for him. He probably got paid maybe $30K for the privilege.

Yeah you're right, poor Frank won big time, NOT.

    Very tough man though.

His "vitriol" is 100% spot on.

But nice to see you counterpoint his argument by calling him a name. All you've got I guess.

Frank was terrible, looked terrible, fought terrible and it was a complete mismatch from the opening bell.

He is tough and good on him for giving it a go, but jesus it was embarrassing.

Hey, I didn't call him a name, I did throw a low class insult at him however. Francis and I are old sparring partners (on here, not in the gym). To be honest, I never saw the fight, but my point is that Frank LoPorto got to go to The States and fight, as the main event, the world champion. An aspiration for most boxers. He is tough, and may well have been outclassed, but most punters would have seen it for what it was worth, so it couldn't have been that embarrassing.

You have to ask the question does the fight do Frank favours in the scheme of his career and his reputation given his performance?

Fair question, it does him favours in twenty years time down the pub or recounting old 'war' stories to the grand kids.

There was no humiliation in Frank's effort, unlike your nightly efforts from behind your keyboard.

A goal of all pro fighters is to someday fight for a world title (something you wouldn't know about). Frank was outclassed but there was no shame in his effort. At 33 he probably knew he wouldn't get too many more offers to fight for a title and took the opportunity against an undefeated champ who'd had hundreds of am fights.

What would you have rathered, Frank fight for and win one of those sham titles or have a go as he did for a legit title?

And if you get a bit bored belittling boxers, feel free to name those 6 or 7 alts of mine.
