Just read on another forum (You know the one, bo*rec) and read an interview with our very own Jeff Thomas, interviewing Frank Maloney

Frank Maloney's dream historical fight that he'd love to have promoted was, wait for it.................

Roberto Duran vs Scott Harrison - At 135 :rofl:rofl

WTF is that tea-pot on about :huh

Any fight in the world with the chance to have any two fighters in the world and he picked Harrison. Surely Whittaker,Laguna, Canzoneri, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Mosely all would have been far greater matches at 135 against the 'Hands of Stone' - **** even Buchanan

Anybody else find that really strange ESPECIALLY considering Harrison never even fought as high as 135

was Harrison ever promoted by Maloney

  3. What Dan the ****** has managed to miss here, is the second part of the same very short answer that says:

"... or Lennox Lewis against Ali, Forman or Frazier. The one fight that I regret never happened that could of was Paul Ingle against Scott Harrison- that would have been a fabulous fight. The fans would have loved it."

(Am I allowed to post that link or is there a facist mod rule against it?)

Yep sorry I just saw that bit but still.

Duran vs Harrison is a **** pick

  6. If you could put on a fight involving any two fighters in history who would it be?
A prime Roberto Duran vs Scott Harrison (at his peak) at lightweight, or Lennox Lewis against Ali, Forman or Frazier. The one fight that I regret never happened that could of was Paul Ingle against Scott Harrison- that would have been a fabulous fight. The fans would have loved it.

I knew thats what the little '******' jibe was about deep down

See it doesn't matter what else he said. That was his first answer and it was still a very poor choice IMO

Whatever Maloney said after it, Duran Vs Harrison is one of the alltime worst mismatches. It the kinda fight I'd make if I was trying to get someone killed.

    Mine would be-

    Bob Foster Vs Mike Spinks

Jung Koo Chang Vs Ricardo Lopez

    Danny Lopez Vs Naseem Hamed

Duran would have done a Lampkin on him, but in double quick time.

My dream fight could still happen pbf vs pac. I know whole the saga is long in the tooth now, but when the fight gets made the hype will be unrivalled to any fight since since srl v hagler! 2 atg at their peaks plying their trade in front of millions around the world. Cant wait!!!
