It’s not Franks opponent - he is just hosting the fight. You need to speak to MTK. To be fair, with Covid restrictions they are not even able to draft in a sturdy euro to step in - it’s just one of those things.
Can’t really blame Frank when an opponent pulls out short notice. Sometimes the best thing is just to pull the fighter off the show. Its a show without a live gate so I’m sure it wouldn’t have really mattered too much to live tv numbers if Frampton is fighting ranked 314th in the world or if he’s been pulled for now and then fights on a forthcoming show 3/4/5/6 weeks down the line.
Really poor compared to what matchroom are delivering -- its now not even just the PR and set-up now, it is also the fights. The warren card this week is poor! Good luck to Traynor -- he has nothing to lose! Read that he has been paid to train for a few weeks which is what I find odd -- could understand him as a last minute plan b with no other options out there but to pay him to be ready for this fight is odd. Must have been higher ranked guys out there.

Carl Frampton is an elite fighter who’s done it all. Don’t know what he’s supposed to gain from this. Purely to fill a quota and probably detrimental to the poor opponents health.

Exactly. Nothing to gain for Frampton. If he wins easy that's what he's always supposed to do. If he gets cut or worse then it's another needless and avoidable problem. Just can the fight.
Hope Traynors team are "with this"and have the towel handy. No point him taking unnecessary damage. Hope he's getting a good pay day.
