Frank Warrens interview after the fight was probably worth the £15 for the PPV itself. He had a face like a skelped arse, can't remember the last time I've seen him look so gutted and kinda lost. Had to laugh when he was going on about how the BBoC should order an immediate rematch even though he admitted it was a close fight. How quick would he have been to give Groves a rematch if the decision had gone in DeGales favour? Can't wait to find this interview on youtube again (not up yet, believe me I've been checking) can't wait to hear the post fight press conference as well.
No wonder, he's spent a lot of money on Degale, possibly millions, and his golden ticket price has just dropped though the floor.

Warren knows himself deep down DeGale lost that fight, he was worried the whole way through the fight. The thing that will really be killing him just now though is that he's Zero for Two against Adam Booth. That will be really pissing him off
He said a couple of intresting things in the interview. 1) Maybe DeGale will drop the hangers-on & back slappers and get down to some serious work. 2) I dont know why he wasnt throwing the uppercut. All in all, Jim McDonell is getting sacked for this. I said on numerous occassions pre-fight that when DeGale losses it wouldnt be his fault, but McDonnels. Warren got up on numerous occassions to go into the DeGale corner. He obviously thought the tactics were **** & Jim McDonnel will pay the ultimate price.

So Mcdonell goes from being absolutely positive he's about 20 grand richer from a side bet to getting the sack, brilliant From the way he's conducted himself this week it's what he deserves as well.
The sight of Warren looking as though he was about to burst into tears after that fight was quite possibly up there with the greatest things I've ever seen on a television.
