Ron Gray is the promoter for Gavin.

Maybe it was Danny William's old conditioning coach.

Feel for the lad, an olympic medal would have helped kick start his pro career. Look at khan and all the handouts he had from sponsors.

:good Pie and mash for breakfast wouldn't have helped Frankie make weight.

It may have kick started his career, but he would likely have been heading down the same path as Khan. This may be a blessing in disguise for the lad. Good promoter and good honest match making will show us whether he is made for the bigtime or not.......with Khan we may never know.

it's a blessing in disguise, don't forget that you have to make weight every couple of days and the dehydration would've set in and he may have flopped in the first bout. Maybe now he can make his pro debut on the M.E.N bill in sept

Can he fight in the European Championships later this year at the higher weight?

Is it worth him staying in the ams for a little while longer?

    No, he should turn pro.

The next Olympics are obviously four years away, why bother wasting time on the Euros when he has already won the worlds?

Not unless he stays amateur until 2012.

    He should really turn pro.

I doubt GBP will sign him, its all spin from Gavins side to extract more money from the likes of FW and co.

It was Kerry Kayes, Hatton's conditioning coach.
