I always thought of him to have a fairly solid chin. His ability to absorb punishment was incredible, plus he was only defeated four times and twice by knockout. The only man to knock him out was George Foreman, arguably the hardest heavyweight puncher in the history of boxing. So why do people always say he has no punch resistance? He took bucket loads of punishment from Quarry and Ali, two people who could really punch. He was a tough guy, and a warrior in the ring who rarely took a step backwards. Foreman had to plant him on the canvas six times (he also got up six times) just to win the fight.
Foreman is one of the hardest punchers ever in boxing and he hit Frazier hard and very often to get rid of him. It's hard to think of which heavyweights could take those shots and survive.
Ditto. Anyone who thinks Frazier has a glass jaw has shown enough stupidity that their opinions can probably be disregarded. (At the very least, on that subject).
i think ring magazine said it best that frazier was neither as invincible as ali made him appear nor as vulnerable as foreman did

He kept getting up from Foreman's bombs almost immediately each time. How the hell he stood back up after the 2nd knockdown is beyond me. That uppercut was monstrous. His chin was solid.
Frazier had good chin,better than Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko.He was agresive fighter and open for head shots.When you always coming forward punches which you takes are harder than distance boxer takes and Frazier was one of the most agresive heavyweights ever.http://bigpunchers.blogspot.com/
Credit to Frazier - not many other fighters could get dropped six times and stopped inside of two rounds and be credited with having a good chin based off of that performance.

His chin was unreal really. Actually watching the Ali/Foreman fights and then saying his chin sucked is impossible. Nobody could fight like Frazier against Foreman and expect to stay upright.
