This man really was a cinderella story. He won 1 out of around 5 amatures fights. In his first 3 pro fight he won 1. At one point his record stood 7-7. But the man never gave up on his dream, and would go on to win the IBF Title and also gave a prime Pernell Whitaker a good fight.

He held wins over the likes of Roger Mayweather, Livingstone Bramble, Tracy Spann, Jorge Paz, Darryl Tyson, and Tony Lopez.

Freddie was a good fighter who managed to go from a clubfighter to a champion. It's amazing what a littler determination and good management will do for you.

i always liked freddie pendleton and part of the reason was because he'd had a few(!!!) losses just a lot of the old timers.
