I think it's great to see Sky Sports actually advertising the fight this coming Friday. I reckon I've seen that advert a good ten times over the weekend and my old man, who wouldn't go to the garden to watch a fight anymore, even said to me that he'd make sure he seen it. Its on at 10.30 again isn't it, which means it will only be a 1 hour 30 mins show again instead of the usual 2 hours, I hope this is not going to be all the time.
To be honest I don't mind if it's only an hour and a half. Usually the last hour is just some prospect womping a nobody for 4 or 5 uncompetitive rounds. At least when the show is shorter they only show you the highlights of this. Don't get me wrong, I like following the careers of our young prospects but watching an hour of one sided beat downs isn't going to bring any new fans to the sport.
if we dont have the chance to see up and comers, there wont be so much intrest in them when they do hit main event status.
Plus theres been a lot of decent matched fights recently that haven't been shown, some good competitive 6 and 8 rounders not just the usual prospect vs journeyman shite.
