Fat Joe told me a couple of years back.

Fat Joe has read alot of stuff on Calzaghe over the years.

Calzaghe is the type of fighter who is mentally fragile and will be fussy about who he fights..............................................until..................he gets in the ring and the punchs start flying thats when the warrior in him comes out.

But outside the ring he was always too senstive about who he fought instead of just chasing the big fights.

If true I would put it down to nerves and lack of self belief to be honest ,rather than anything else...Danny Williams suffered the same sort of thing

He was going through a divorce and his head was shot.

He made some excuse up about a back injury I think but it head was shot.

    Women do that to you.

I think Flin is referring to a guy called Freeman Barr, who was made mando for the WBOgus title.

Calzaghe wanted to take it...... Warren put the blocker on it. Good job really, the board probably wouldn't have allowed it - it was that much of a mismatch.

When? He started out as a middle on his debut.

He did get knocked out by two Calzaghe victims in a row though lol but this was after Calzaghe was supposed to fight him

Calzaghe didn't realize how good he was to be honest. He is/was a much better fighter than his resume suggests, he just had no confidence or balls before Lacy. He was happy to fight for the WBOgus at Cardiff Ice Rink versus tomato cans for so many years, that is the truth.

Wasn't it also widely rumoured at the time of Calzaghe leaving Warren that Calzaghe wanted Jones for his last fight but Warren wanted Pavlik? Not saying Pavlik would have won as I always said Calzaghe would embarass him but it would have looked a lot better for his legacy and he would have had a good payday out of it too.

the way people wax lyrical about calzaghe as some prodigy with a lack of confidence is utter ****.

he has looked decidely crap many a time. Reid beat him, he ate right hands all night - even sakio of shitto bika had him going. Hopkins took away and nullified everything he had and all joe could do was the breast-stroke for 12 rounds.

He looked great against lacy but fooking hell eve manfredo took a draw off lacy on one judges scorecard.

people say 'if froch cant handle dirrell..forget calzaghe' but thats bollocks. at the end of the day dirrell was 18 years younger than Hopkins and 15 years younger than jones.

dirrell was 9 years old when Jones won his first world title !!!!!!!!!!!!

calz is a cherry picker, obsessed with his record and his ego. spinless turd, giving it the big talk but wouldnt take a fight with froch would he? *****.
