Did anyone notice froch's comment just before the ad break on the Joshua build up ..quite clearly suggesting he's not finished yet. It was subtle but both presenters looked at each other straight away. Do you think he will actually come back ?
Wouldn't read much into it. Last interview on IFL he said he was happily retired. Just keeping his name relevant and keeping his fans guessing I imagine.
All the attention and love being poured on Joshua, the crowds, the excitement probably brought out the ego maniac in Froch. He said he'd never make 168 again anyway, so unless he fancies coming back to test his whiskers against Kovalev then I reckon he'll go back to being "happily retired" in the next few days.

Well he allegedly cannot make 168 anymore, Golovkin won't come above 1y8 to fight him and he shouldn't be expected to. At 175 I can't see Froch being successful can't see him coming back. Probably just a but jealous that people weren't talking about him.
He actually could become a decent co commentator if they swapped him and Jim Watt's roles around. He should stay retired and I don't see a scenario where he comes back.
Bang on. He still can't resist his digs at Groves either. Being a bad winner is a lot worse than a bad loser in my opinion and for the age of him he always comes across very immature and insecure. If he came out of retirement. Even if he could make 168 I think he'd know he'd lose to Degale and Smith.
Very true. I think he was backed into a corner in his career and his only options were Ward, GGG or Degale. We all know as does Froch that Ward's kicks his **** again. Golovkin called his bluff and all we got off Froch was too big, too strong then retired. And lastly we have a big British fight against Degale which although I think Froch wins for some reason or another Froch didn't seem to fancy it. If Chavez jr had beaten Fonfara Froch wouldn't have retired.
Yes he wanted the easy fight for the for his 'legacy'. There's no doubt about it he avoided all three of them and made a show of himself with the too big and strong comment. On a separate note he shouldn't even be on the pundit team he admits he doesn't follow the sport. Smith, Moore and even Bellew offer better insights into the fights but don't get a look in on the big fights which is a shame.
He'll remain retired, he just still has that fighters mentality that he can still "do" everyone in. Pushing 40, financially sound, has his wits about him, has a good thing going with Sky and bowed out throwing the best punch he's ever threw in his biggest ever fight. No need to come back. He's also been in the gym, doing the deadlifts etc says himself he couldn't make 168 again.
