Did Froch learned to throw a jab, or was he still looking for that damn money punch right hand?

I didn't see that many jabs from either of them...and none that are memorable...

Let's put it this way...if Reid had been anywhere close to his prime, could anyone have seen Froch beat him? Reid, shot as he was, showed some moments of class that Froch didn't...maybe he was saving himself or something...

    No that was Froch.

Reid is the first fighter he faced with the boxing ability, smart enough not to walk onto an uppercut. Froch was badly exposed tonight.

A very poor performance from Drosh and it was sad to see Reid who was a very good fighter a few years ago losing to guy who is miles behind him ability wise.

I was at the fight and i thought Froch did a decent job on him, he had him down 3 times and never looked in trouble even though reid looked way passed his best it was a decent fight for Froch after the knee surgery.

So if Froch was to fight say Bute,Kessler or Mundine in the future the outcome wouldnt be good for Froch.

I didnt get to see this fight but was interested in seeing what Froch's future might hold.

Froch vs Inkin would be the likely choice.

To anyone who watched this fight.

Would Froch have beaten a prime Reid, based on that performance alone?

Edit: I think China Hand Joe has answered the question!

I think you would have to favour a prime Reid over everyone at SMW except for Joe and Mikkel...Froch would lose a wide UD...

reid actually troubled froch a couple of times. i wonder how froch would have done against a prime reid.

usual arrogant self in the post fight interview. "i thought that was a great performance by me"..."this proves i'm world class" etc

I don't think that performance proved he was world class. Saying that, Froch IS world class. He had a poor performance last night...a world class fighter would have done better against a shot Reid...But from being world class to being the best in the world at SMW, which means being better than elite Joe and almost elite Kessler is a huge, huge gap...

Can someone lose points in the rankings for a win? I think Froch just did...

Wheras most fighters say "I think tonight proves im just not the man I thought I was!!". lol

I know what you mean though, he does sometimes have an arrogant edge to him. I thought he did ok tonight, not brilliant but ok. That right hand seems like a ****ing missile when he lands it though. He seems to have a good chin but that will only get you so far against someone that can punch.

I've followed Froch's career over the last few years. I like his cockiness, he's nowhere near Calzaghe's level but he's definitely in the top 5.
I'd say he's in with a real shout of a world title if you stick him in with Braehmer or Inkin. One slight concern would be fighting in Germany, but I still reckon he's got enough in his bag to win, esp. against Braehmer & his unimpressive chin & poor stamina.

I didn't see the fight last night, seems like he did ok, nothing spectacular. Then again, if he'd have got rid of Reid in 2 rounds, people would still complain...

Froch will improve against better opponents - Reid was hardly a proper test.

I had Froc in my Top 6, right after Inkin until last night...now, I have him at 8, after Lacy and Andrade...
