    Ok

ive read all the info and what not about the uk coverage, i am on Virgin and its not looking good at the moment, i had to watch the taylor fight online (good feed though)

What really annoys me is that they are charging 13 quid which i have no problem with, i would happily pay 20 quid but it looks like cos im on virgin i am not even gonna get the chance, that pisses me off more than anything else!

I do hope they get it on virgin because they are losing money if they dont!

I have the same problem, mate:good. For the life of me I can't see it being true as it just wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. I hope they sort it out and pronto as many potential subscribers won't be paying and won't be able to watch it if it is, in fact, only available to Sky customers. It would be nonsensical if this scenario isn't sorted out. Hennessy can't be that stupid, can he?

Mick Hennesey is deluded if he thinks this will be anything but a flop.

I fail to see how someone who has been in the business for so long seriously belives that Carl Froch is PPV. Even if he was, a fight against Dirrell is NEVER good enough to pay extra for. Most casual followers don't give a **** about the Abraham vs Taylor fight so he is relying soley on Froch...

    What a stupid ****.

Oh, I'm not paying for Froch and not Taylor/Abraham. I'll just watch them both elsewhere.

Is a bit ridiculous. Would pay £13 for both the fights if I could. But the fact that you need already be paying x amount to sky already just for the privilege of paying a further £13 for something which isn't pay per view material. Ideally they should have this on all platforms sky, freewiev and virgin. Even if the casual fan hasn't heard of froch the tournament format would make it quite an easy fight to hype up if made available to a large base and advertised properly. Lot of talk about illegal streams but if people who are willing to pay for it even if it is poor value are unable to acess it then the only way they are going to watch it on an illegal stream. By limiting the amount of people who can acess the fight there just encouraging people to look for an illegal way to watch it because it's that or nothing.

If you like boxing and sport youll most likely have sky and youll buy this fight. If you dont fine dont buy it. I think its great what Henessey sports is doing.

    Haha is this micks alias?

Henessey has screwed froch/his fans up big time!
I hate to keep posting the same thing but if he had any business know how he would have put this fight on a terrestrial channel were millions would be able to tune in. This would give froch a massive fan base and enable henessey to gain more leverage/ extract more tv money for say a kessler fight etc

Hes going to get **** all buys from this, frochs going to stay a small promotion and more importantly hes surely going to be out of pocket?!

I mean you can still get tickets in most areas for the fight!

Well that is smart promoting then. Why give to free TV if you still got tickets to sell to watch it live?

£13 seems a fair price to pay to watch it in the comfort of your own home.

id say the bulk of the money available from this is coming from showtime, after all dirrel is american and this is their tournament.

mick is probably using the UK money as a bonus top up cos no tv station will offer him good enough money without knowing if the tournament is going to work so taking the ppv route guarantees some cash right away. kinda short term thinking on micks part but hey lets not kid ourselves, hennessey is in this game to make money first and foremost
