Who Wins now ?? Following last nite... they could be fighting each other after a loss or else Froch will be super confident if he takes care of Kessler.. Either way makes for an intriguing fight.. AA looked pretty one dimensional last nite & didn't like one bit the body shots which is were Froch could do some damage I feel..
Can see this turning into a bit of a brawl so it could come down to who has the strongest chin. Dirrell put AA down but he couldn't floor Froch so possibly you could argue that Froch has the better punch resistance. As for power there is not much to pick between them imo. Think Froch has the bigger heart though which may see him through.
I tend to agree with you as much as I would love him to. I think at some point he may find someone who is technically too good for him. But based on last nights show AA isn't that man.
Dirrell only knocked Abraham down due to their legs getting tangled up and you could also say Taylor floored Froch but didn't floor Abraham etc. They both have very good punch resistance, but Abraham has the better defence, and IMO the better chin.

I imagine Froch v AA ending in another controversy. I see Froch landing a thumping body shot and AA whining to the ref, with his hands down. Rather than standing off (like Dirrell), Froch wades in and clubs him to the canvas. Chaos ensues, but the winner will be decided depending on whether the fight is in Germany or not.
What's this 'based on last night'? Last night is not even remotely significant in relation to this fight.
:think I dont really know what you're getting at there mate. Every fight in this tournament is pretty significant when it comes to analysing a fighter. ESPECIALLY when comes down to making choices between two fighters based on how each of them dealt with a common opponent one fight apart. Unless you were making that statement in reply to a comment posted on the thread, then my apologies :good
Well with each fight you see more and more of fighters weaknesses and strengths. We already knew AA would struggle with a slickster and it showed last night. We already knew he didn't like it to the body. Again it showed last night. Problem with Froch is he declares war in each fight now and i don't care what anyone says he does have ability his jab is very good weapon but he refuses to use it because he's fallen into the machismo of the sport and wages war and looks a right plonker when swinging and lunging. If he boxed with the plan we all would set out against Abraham he could do a number on him..sadly Carl doesn't even listen to Rob McCracken at times. I think he beats AA i really do but it will be life and death when he could make things far easier on himself.
Yes, I forgot to quote but that seems to be the general idea in this thread. Last night was significant in regards to this fight in that Abraham got 0 points and will be needing a result, thats about it. We didn't learn anything new about Abraham last night. We learnt more about Dirrell because he showed he can do more than spoil, he showed more maturity. Abraham did what he always does but couldn't pull it back due to Dirrell's athleticism and evasive skill. If anybody thinks Dirrell was winning due to something Froch could even think about replicating they are living in a dream land. That's like saying Froch is going to beat Kessler because he can do what Andre Ward did. He might beat Kessler but he's not going to do it that way and nor is Froch going to get all cute on us and show great movement and reflexes like Dirrell did. I see the point about AA whining about body shots, thats a sign he doesn't like them. But thats not something new, the reason Dirrell threw a ton of body shots is because they watched tapes, it was shown during the preview. Abraham always complains to refs about bodyshots and I think its something everybody will try and exploit purely because its common sense to go to the body when somebody holds a high guard, especially when he complains.
Like Mandanda said though, will Froch be able to stick to tactics when the punches start landing and he ends up wanting a war again
