As Froch's best defence is his chin Arthur will land his clubs at some point and maybe stop Frochey.

Froch's jab could trouble AA if he can get past the mufflers but I've never seen Arthur hurt properly so not sure if Froch could get him out of there.

    Another interesting match up:yep

Hmmm. Everyone speaks of Abraham like he is some unstoppable beast. Don't get me wrong, he is very tough and powerful. He has a good defence and an 80% ish KO record. The same can be said pretty much for Frochy. Now I know the retort to this is that Froch has a poor defence and up until the Dirrell fight I would have agreed with you. But Froch managed to win a points decision against one of the most slippery opponents I have witnessed and whether or not you agree with the decision, I feel that most agree it was close. Froch kept his chin down and his gloves up for a large proportion of that fight and that is why he was able to sneak a decision. I think that Froch has every chance of beating Abraham if he is level headed enough not to get drawn into a war and I think Froch has proven, more so than AA, that he can be level headed, especially with Rob McCracken in his corner. Froch also has the advantage of being a natural SMW. He has a longer reach, a height advantage and IMO better conditioning and stamina than AA. I can see Froch hammering through AAs tight guard with his powerful jab, looping round his guard, breaking AA down with body shots (which evidence suggests may be AAs Achilles heel) and countering effectively when AA explodes. In short I can see Froch winning a clear points decision or even achieving a KO if it turns into a war of attrition at the end of the fight. I know this won't be the popular opinion but 'm going with the cobra.

Regardless of K.O record, I'd say Abraham is amongst the hardest punchers P4P and a truly destructive puncher.

He certainly had very good one punch power at middleweight, but this hasn't been proven at SMW except against a faded Taylor coming off a Froch TKO.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think he took Dodson out with a body punch. That's the only example I have that I can think of though :yep

One shot KO of Magee was a body shot.

Edit: I stand corrected, it was Dodson, in the 3rd, as said by Kos :rasta

I really believe the results of this bout come down to how smart Froch fights on the night. If it's in the uk I'll see you there :good

It'll hopefully be Oct / Nov time :D

Wasn't Froch trainer in Eastman's corner when he lost a close pts decision to AA a few years back, if so I'm sure they'll have done there homework and prevail this time

Ah forgot about the Dodson KO even so still dont think hes not a massive body puncher but im sure its something he can work on.
I think a bit of movement will do Carl wonders against AA - i know its not really what you expect him to do but a couple of jabs step round could work wonders cause AA will just stand in the shell early doors

A constructive and valuable post. If it wasn't intended to provoke a reaction I'd send some abuse your way. As it is I won't give you the satisfaction. Keep up the good work :good
