i am not sure this is actually easier than a Groves rematch?i thought Frochs legs were gone even before the 1st round knock down and even worse after it and he never recovered ...i am wondering if this is a sign of age catching up with him or too many heavy punches around the head??either way i think his next fight will be his last whoever he fights (except Hopkins!!!)....if he stumbles around ring again and gets hit by Chavez it will be lights out this time. but at least he wont have his home nation laughing/booing at him which he plainly detests

Uhhhh, lights out? based on what? Chavez Jr is mediocre at best, while Froch is coming off a FOTY candidate with Groves, Jr is coming off a gift decision over Brian Vera :lol:

based on - i think Frochs legs have gone and if Chavez comes in to fight at 190 lbs he will KO Froch early doors IMO...shots like the one Groves hit him with are hard to come back from at 36 year old

Froch will destroy him, Martinez had the guy covered up and scared to throw

His legs can't have gone as he took two big shots after the bell round 1 and all those in round six and still came back. The problem was his speed against someone like groves.

watch it again....id go as far to say when the fight was stopped Frochs legs were a lot worse than Groves who was supposed to be the one hurt

only Frochs next fight will see if the big hard fights and age have taken their toll,it certainly looked like it to me

Chavez is an average fighter who will look a lot more ordinary at 168, I hope it gets made though wouldn't mind seeing it.

Agree on that bit- it will be interesting to see if he has got anything left. The point is he came through shots even after the knockdown in round 1 which would have stopped most. never stopped firing back and eventually did just short of enough to win.

I'd rather see Groves bash up Chavez.

his chin cannot be questioned ,its hard to remember anyone taking so many heavy shots and surviving through fights although it must catch up with him in the end?

my point was his legs have gone ,thus being even easier to hit and much easier to knock over

If his legs have gone he should retire. Didn't sound like he ruled that out on ringside. I suppose we will find out one way or the other.

TBH I think Sky will demand Eddie sort Carl out. Matchroom is nothing without Sky and irrespective how much Froch can make in Vegas, sky is more important to the Hearn family.

It gets made in the summer and Froch goes nite nite in round 6

Chavez isn't a legit world class fighter. He is completely manufactured. Froch beats him easily.
