    Froch vs Abraham

I did a quick search, but couldn't find anything in the Brit forum about a likely result (though I'm sure there is bound to be a thread somewhere).

I know it's early days, but who have you got?

Personally, I'm going with Froch who I think may well out work him and have the ability to punch around AA's guard, whilst out of range, and may even be able to exploit the body from a distance (though I'm not sure if Froch does go downstairs that much).

Of course there's always a danger though when Froch trades with AA, as he no doubt will.

The bookies have it as a 50/50 fight, who have you got?

im a big froch fan, lots of heart, talks the talk and backs it up, great for the sport!

i have to go with abraham on this, both men have great chins, hit hard, but for me arthurs faster and straighter punches will take there toll, add his basic but does the job defence compared to carls looping punches with that chin left out to dry, i see a late stoppage.

froch has a very underated jab that he seems to have stopped using since the pascal fight, on paper he should have the first 6 rounds in the bag from then on arthur will start to land and possibly have carl down, froch starts to get desperate and his heart rules his head, that chin of his can only take so much so im picking arthur via 10th round stoppage.

froch will be the first man from the super 6 to fight bute.

I'm learning towards Froch getting sparked in this fight.

Froch UD no doubt! He has the reach advantage and will box clever this time (listen to McCracken for a change)

Froch leads with his face, Abraham hits hard.

I could write about Froch's jab, his chin, his stamina, his height advantage, his love of a tear up, throwing punches round Abraham's guard etc... But it's too late for that and it would boil down to: Froch leads with his face, Abraham hits hard. Abraham by stoppage.

Its a good fight for both guys, they both hit hard and know they wont have to go looking for each other.Carl needs to make sure he dont waste a load of energy in the first 4 rounds cos Arthur will do very little other than look to land the odd big shot up to that point,he has fought that way all his career. It really could go either way but im picking Arthur by late stoppage maybe as late as round 12.

I'm not a massive fan of either fighter to be honest, they are both a bit basic but are genuinely value for money. I've just got a feeling that all the stars will align in this fight and we will witness a once in a lifetime event.....Frochs uppercut landing!!. Abraham seems made for it with his plodding in and predictable attacks, I honestly see him walking straight onto one...alternatively JonOli has mapped a possible scenario, left hook around the guard and straight rights down the pipe when Abrahams equilibrium is disrupted. I can only see one winner, but it should be a great fight.

There seems to be some delusion about Froch's chances. He's looked dreadful in every fight since he reached world level. He's been getting wobbled by guys not known as punchers. Even if Abraham's not as big a hitter at SMW, he still acts like a puncher: sits down on his shots, looks to take his man out, throws around the guard himself.

Froch has no guard. This is going to end badly for him.

Froch blocks too many shots with his face. Abraham KO.

Froch's screwball uppercut actually landing?! That's got to be some major realignment of the starts. :D

Joking aside, you never know, it might be the weapon to get up through that turtle shell guard and he can throw it at a distance too; ok maybe I'm being rather too optimistic.

10/11 is a very healthy price for Arthur if you ask me.
