    Calzaghes first 20 title defences? vs:
    Branko Sobot, Juan Carlos Ferreyra, Robin Reid, Rick Thornberry, David Starie,Omar Sheika,Richie Woodhall,Mario Veit,Will McIntyre
    Charles Brewer,Miguel Angel Jimenez,Tocker Pudwill,Byron Mitchell,Mager Mkrtchyan,Kabary Salem,Mario Veit,Evans Ashira,Jeff Lacy,Sakio Bika,Peter Manfredo Jr

    all in the UK bar the 2nd fight with Veit who he ko'd in the first round in their 1st fight

    Its a legitamate question.

    Calzaghes reign was great but his opposition in his first 20 defences was far from great.

    Froch went to the US in his FIRST title defence and KNOCKED OUT a world class fighter in jermaine taylor.

    one fight previous won every round against jeff lacy - calzaghes "career defining fight"

    If you to keep it objective why dont you include Frochs opponents before Taylor. Because they where ****ing immense.

    Most of Calzaghe's defences were joke opponents.

    However, Froch only has one defence to his name, and that was a last second KO whilst behind on the cards, having been put flat on his ass and outboxed pretty much throughout.

    Ask this question again in a couple of years.

    I'd be inclined to take one WBC title defence in the States against Taylor over 20 WBO title defences against the likes of Pudwill, Lacy and Veit.

    I think its ridicilous how people keeps jumping on this `Give Joe **** train` just becourse the usual haters cant give Joe any credit! To say one single fight can be compared with 20 defences is biased.. and i dont give a **** about this one fight was against an american in US of A it just makes it even more ridicilous! Lets see ow far Froch and Taylor goes in super-six and then get back here!

    maybe when Froch defends against an actual Super-Middle Weight who hasn't lost 2 of his last 3 fights i'll give him some more credit. Bika would take Taylor easy these days IMO
