Quit being a *****. If it was Froch who controlled the fight and Taylor stopped him in the last round you'd be praising the **** outta him. It's nothing to do with luck, it's called out lasting the other guy and digging deep to find an extra level. It's called heart.
Tommy Froch did look like **** tonight. He got put down in the 3rd and had his ass handed to him all night long til the 12th where he put all he had left against a fighter who had gassed out and didnt have the heart to finish froch when he could. Congrats to froch but in terms of boxing ability froch showed how amatuerish he was tonight. Low gaurd, hit with loads of punches and so much for his granite chin. Taylor outclassed him and didnt have the heart to finish him like pavlik. it came back to haunt him. Sorry but if froch keeps boxing like that praying that he can catch lucky breaks like he did in this fight he wont last long at world level. And as much as i dislike the guy i will give him credit for being able to push the last round in his favour so you cant say im being biased
Yep. hes a mouthy ***** who needs to be shut up. Had taylor had lasted the final 14 seconds he would have won but i support the refs decision. whethers its 14 seconds or 1 second, if the guys hurt badly you stop the fight before something bad happens
Froch was troubled by taylor's stick ad move tactics. Joe is much more aggressive than Taylor. Joe has been nailed lots of times - he was hurt by Eubank (rd 12), Brewer (rd 12), Mitchell (down early), Salem (down), Hopkins (down early), Jones (down early). I think Froch would definitely land and hurt Joe. Joe has a lot of experience though, and it'd have to happen at light heavy where Froch's power wouldn't be as much. Boxing is about timing. Froch IS on the up, and is a worth world champ ALREADY with improvements to make. Joe is older and was showing signs of slippage. Not a mismatch. Ppl are saying Froch is obsessed with Joe. Well, isn't it a shame that Calzaghe didn't seem too obsessed with anyone for the bulk of his career. Froch has shown vulnerabilities, reason being that he has had a hard learning curve vs fast ahtletic and determined and motivated foes, in back to back fights. Joe's career was much more frustrating filled with gimme mismatches and false confidence builders. 2 totally different fighters, don't be fooled that Calzaghe is some kind of God. Both very good fighters who have taken totally different routes.
well then *****, give him credit for taking risks, for fighting opponents that have a chance of winning. He backed up his mouth in spectacular fashion and has now won 2 of the all time best super middleweight fights.
Froch turned down the fight twice when he was offered his chance to fight Joe. They waited for Joe to retire while Froch and promoter are talking **** about how he's ducking Carl.
Hardly spectacular when he was losing badly until the KO. They thought Taylor would come to Nottingham at first until they came to their senses and Froch went to America.
i don't think this would be as much of a mismatch as most think. joe is 37 and has been struggling to make 168 for the past few years. i don't know the effect unretiring and making the weight would have on him. anyway, won't happen
Do we think Froch did enough last night to make a fight with Calzaghe any closer to becoming reality? I certainly dont, i feel Calzaghe is one, if not two steps up from Taylor, and remember Calzaghe is the naturaly bigger man as well. And if he was struggling with Taylors handspeed, then jesus christ what could Calzaghe to do him. For any fight to become closer to happening, i feel Froch needs to KO kessler to make a real statement. Your Views!
Calzaghe might be thinking about it, 80,000 in the millennium stadium and TV money might be too good to turn down.
