Carl decided to fight Kessler instead of Stevenson. At the time I said Id rather he defend against Stevenson, was ridiculed for it.Understand there was more money in a Kessler fight, and have loads of respect for Froch, but in light of what has happened, what do you think the result would have been?

Froch vs Kessler were wars. Froch vs Stevenson would probably be a one sided beat down and KO win for Stevenson.

    Agreed.

Stevenson is one of the most improved boxers in world boxing and i'd see no other conclusion then he would be the first man to stop Froch.

Froch would have been stopped last night had that knockdown come 30 seconds earlier, when the action resumed it was only 5 seconds till end of round.

Thats not what they were saying though. They were saying the one sided beat down would be the other way round and Stevenson had no chance.Just like almost EVERYBODY gave Groves no chance at all with only a few notable exceptions.I personally thought it was too early for Groves, that he'd have some success, but Froch would win. Most gave Groves no chance at all.Lets remember that when somebody is giving their opinion. Its a funny old game saint.

Probably true Bub.But its a boxing forum and everybody's entitled to their opinion. But when I said Id like to see Froch/Stevenson first rather than a fight wed seen before,I was told I didn't know SAB.Most of them have jumped ship and moved to the other forum.I use both, this one more, but wonder what they think now.But the same kind of people were shouting down anybody who fancied Groves chances, and sometimes in a very rude manner.Obviously behind the keyboard.

That's another problem with some people on these forums. They get all arrogant and way too confident in their predictions. You just have to enjoy it when they get proven wrong and make fools of themselves.

You was wumming it up with your Pro Groves comments m8, it works both ways. I've commented on here since the great Groves performance so you have your facts wrong about me staying quite. I've admitted i was wrong .

And even though the stoppage was wrong, if i was a complete Wum i would be saying that i did predict Froch would win by stoppage but I've stayed classy.

(its not like Groves won, he might have but he didn't)

Thought Groves had his golden moment ripped away from him last night, he was fantastic against Froch.

Stevenson isn't beating Froch though. Froch stops him.

Potentially Foster took a great ending away from froch as well, we will never know if Froch would have got a legit stoppage but if you watch rounds 7, 8 and 9 froch was starting to get to Groves more and did have him hurt. Just a poor ending though which leaves doubts as you said though you have to fell for groves.

Fair play, it's all about opinions.

I just think Froch can take Stevenson's power... which is half the battle really. Stops him in 10.
