A clear win for Froch, and I dunno what you guys think but, I don't think he was even trying that hard. I'm sure there's another gear Froch can get into. He fought Kessler at a higher tempo than he did Johnson.
Last night he couldn't have had a more nonchalant look on his face.

    What you think? :think

I think it was not not his best fight but Johnson is in part responsible for putting Froch out of his comfort zone.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. After about 8 rounds, I was thinking "Don't let another Kessler happen", and by that, I obviously mean lose a fight he should win. Like against Kessler, any time Froch threw punches, he was winning clearly yet he wasn't doing enough. Thankfully, McCracken motivated Froch well and he got the clear decision but at the half way mark, there was genuine concern.

    Great fight.

That's the thing though, I don't think Froch looked that uncomfortable, he just did what he had to do and no more. I think Ward will find he has another gear and it will be very competitive.

I know what you're saying, but he was taking it in his stride like it was nothing. I think he's a bit too relaxed and cool in there sometimes, he'll need to be much more active against ward.

Stamina made the difference in this fight, froch was extremely fit and was not fatigue at all after 12 rounds, when johnson slowed down froch took some late important rounds that gave him a clear edge.

Against Kessler Froch got the fight punched out of him. Kessler's work to the body clearly made the difference in that fight.

Froch has been lazy at times during his career.

It's clear that he could have fought at a higher pace and gone 15 rounds.

I got a bit frustated with him at times and was shouting at the screen for him to let his hands go more.

When he kept the centre of the ring, let combos go and used footwork Glen had trouble finding the target.

I think Froch takes a breather just past half way in fights in order to save himself for a strong finish. You have to credit Johnson though.

This is what I was thinking.

I hope he can up his work rate for son of sven, getting a decision will be tough.

I think Froch tries to look like he is not trying because he thinks it impresses the judges.

Johnson has great power. Froch respected that. Ward has zero power. Can't see how he will be able to keep the Cobra off him.

Ward will use his head against Froch, he knows the judges have already filled out their cards, and the referee will help Ward as well. Froch will have to travel thousands of miles, Ward will not...............However, Froch can punch, Ward can't.
