Eddie mentioned last night that Froch has until New Years Day to make a decision as to whether he defends against Degale or vacates the title. I agree that Froch is at a point, especially after 2 back to back mandatory defenses, that he can pick and choose whatever and whoever he wants. He doesn't want to retire without seeing his name up in lights in Vegas, that's fair enough. But he's been banging on about Chavez in Vegas since before he fought Groves the first time! Most people I've come across are not interested in that fight and would it really draw as much interest and ££££ as Froch makes out? I know Chavez has the Mexican backing, but I'm not so sure it would. Degale is making a lot of noise off the back of 2 good performances on PPV cards and a lot more people are talking about a fight between Froch and him than they are Chavez Jr. Could Froch "get up" for a fight with Degale? Froch mentioned Groves & Degale having a rematch with him facing the winner. Also, if Froch were to vacate Degale would obviously be fighting for the title right away against the next in line after him. Now I think Groves is ranked number 5 with the IBF, so if Ramirez Sanchez and Julius Jackson turned it down - or were offered some step aside money.. - Groves would be next in line!
He'll face Degale, lose, and then Eddie will bring Ward over and have him face Degale an 'Olympic Gold' card with Joshua facing Audley. All at Wembley, of course. And on ppv for the princely sum of £24.95
Froch wont face Degale, and I feel he is being treated unfairly by the IBF as there are so many champions that just go on without defending and I think they should give Froch more time to chose his voluntary.
I hope not. I HATE when people rinse things - leave it as it was. Any other Boxing show there now would be anti-climatic.
The only other fight i think would fill wembley would be brook v Khan , with a great undercard of course
Can't think of any realistic fight that would fill it. Groves v Degale at a massive push, given that there both from London, with a world title on the line and a few on-camera bust ups during the build up. Couldn't see Khan v Brook filling it.
He'll fight Chavez in Vegas I'd imagine so he'd vacate. There would be the possibility of a further unification with either DeGale or Groves early in 2016 if they both gained a world title and fought each other. Froch has certainly earned the right to do whatever he likes now, and clearly he has his sights set on a Vegas fight.
Vegas fight is pointless. Only Carl seems interested in it so he can tick it off his box. Other than that it's totally pointless.
Not sure Maybe he won't as I don't know if anyone can remember as froch has only mentioned once or twice but he is a warrior
