Faded Valdez that actually won the title post-Monzon wasn't outright better than any of them imo. He'd declined to the point of being a better chinned-but less determined-Trinidad(middle version Tito, that is).

I'd still be tempted to pick the one that got his last victory over old Briscoe to edge Minter and Vito though.Minter's erratic ring-generalship and tendency to be over-aggressive would let Valdez get through with enough shots to grind out a win, likely added By cuts hampering Minter's accuracy or outright forcing a TKO.

Could also see Minter taking advantage of his declined versatility and skill, just matadoring him and beating him to the punch ala Tonna 2 and Antuofermo 2.And Vito just mauling him, he was a more effective pressure fighter than Bennie by then.

Vito and Minter beat Corro more often than not even if they often look bad doing it, but at Luna Park it could be interesting.I don't rate Corro much, but with home advantage and the fans lighting a fire under his sack, he was an awkward foe...and that was a seriously intimidating environment.

Excellent description of post-Monzon Valdez....but the fact is that Corro had more defenses than any of these gentlemen.
