ok so neither man was exactly setting the world on fire..but lets be realsitic, this was a fight between two 14 fight domestic level fighters....how good di people expect it to be....but what the viewer got, which makes a pleasant ****ing change, is a proper FIGHT..two guys came inbto the ring and had a fight, and yes its easy to criticise furys technique or stamina or defence...but remember, these things can be improved, they can be taught...what cant be taught is the big heart and the big bollocks the kid has...(and chisora for that matter). i was a massive haye fan until his no show against wlad, and i honestly believe either of these guys would have given a better accoun t of themselves than the hayemaker did. at least they would have went out on their shields throwing punches. both guys deserve a lot of credit for having a fight and bringing entertaining boxing back to terrestial tv.

thumbsup:deal According to C5 that had a peak viewing of 3 mil. It just shows that the general public still has an appetite for the sweet science no matter what the critics say. Fact is boxing is part of our culture. This was an excellent fight for British boxing. Hennessy did a great job. And i hope he can continue to put on more great fights on terrestrial TV.
I thought this would be a typical, dull, domestic maul up, but it was awesome! Fury way exceeded my expectations.
...and, whilst im not getting carried away,fury can only keep getting better...guys 23 years old ferrchrissakes...i will always watch tyson fury fight cos he comes to fight..even in the mcdermott fights he dug deep, even the one he lost (in my eyes anyway). if he gets a better level of coaching and maybe moves to america for sparring etc... he can achieve so much more than people give him credit for...i think he needs to fight a few more low level opponents but with international names, maybe tye fields, kevin mcbride, then move onto the like of price, who whilst on paper is surely the better boxer, does seem a wee bit robotic and orthodox to me..fury has more movement and perhaps a wider array of punches at the minute....seems like a huge british fight in 18 mon ths or so...
