Agree with @Jurgen there. I think Joshua will be priced as favourite initially as the bookies will guess that more casuals who might chuck the odd fiver on a fight will back Joshua. I think over time it would be similar to last nights fight where it is more or less split 50/50 after the odds are adjusted from bets being placed. I think on the subject of pricing, I reckon assuming it was a Wembley or Millennium Stadium venue ticket prices would be justifiably high, prob minimum £60/£80 for the cheap seats (it will still sell out instantly obviously) and will be a minimum of £29.99 PPV.
I’ll be all over Betfair laying AJ at any price people wanted. He’ll lose a few rounds and when he starts eating the left jab he’ll quit. Fury won’t miss the jab either as AJ has no head movement. AJ would have to come forward cause if he tries the Ruiz tactics he’ll look stupid.
Gutted Joshua has lost because his invincibility has gone and all his fans will now be Fury fans. I’d longed for this fight so I could laugh at all his horrible insta slag and matchroom bum boys. Many of them will be converted now.
Yes, they didn’t give a **** about British fans in the all Brit Super middle weight WBSS final. They certainly won’t with this.
I make Fury the favourite but it certainly wouldn’t be a repeat of last night all over again. I would say that Joshua is much better than Wilder in almost every department excluding the big right hand. Better footwork, better timing, better punch variety, greater big fight/occasion experience, equal in hand speed and physically stronger. I honestly see Fury v Joshua being a classic.
How times have changed though... I remember staying up as a kid watching Bruno challenge Witherspoon and then Tyson just praying for him to become the first British heavyweight champion since Bob Fitzsimmons. This morning, the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, Ring and lineal titles are all nicely secured around the waists of two British fighters
It’s horrible to think that to have it in the uk you would be probably looking at £100 PPV cost. While I think as a stand alone it would be value for money it would set an awful precedent for future fights.
I see folk online are claiming AJ will duck Fury. I reckon he’s delighted Fury won. He is terrified of that Wilder right hand. I think that’s why the Pulev fight has not been announced yet. They were waiting to see the result of this fight. If Wilder won, then it would be Pulev, and whoever else they had planned. At least if Fury beats him, it’s highely unlikely he will be twitching on the canvas in front of the millions watching.
I reckon Fury and Joshua will get this sorted. It was amusing watching Fury FaceTime Joshua whilst in the pub on ITV documentary. I think despite the rivalry them two are quite friendly.
