Seriously, I feel like I’m the ONLY objective observer on this board. All too often, people allow their emotions to colour their perceptions and judgements. The fight could’ve gone either way. Period. Of that, I have no doubt. Either a TKO round 9 in Usyk’s favour or a unanimous decision by a clear margin to Olek. A split decision was not either of the either ways, but at least it went to right man.
117-110 is the correct card. Go back and rewatch it. 116-111 if your being nice to Fury. Fury only won 4,5 & 6. Usyk is just better.
I give credit to Fury for his showing. But there's no way you can score that for him. I'm very interested to see if he even wants the rematch or whether he walks away now. Be great to see Usyk fight Wilder, a fight in which I fully expect the Ukranian to stop Deontay. The 3 big champs of the last heavy era under his belt after becoming the no. 1 cruiser of all time? He'd be pretty high up on any sane persons atg list.
Usyk is 37 and has nothing else to prove in the sport. Maybe he takes one walk-away fight with a Russian in Lwow and then retires.
