If Joshua and Wilder won't fight him next, where does he go? He's a guy who needs challenges to stay hungry but there aren't many out there. A big money spinner might get him going but he won't fight on sky PPV v a matchroom fighter not named Anthony Joshua. What's big on BT PPV? It's a tricky one. I personally think him and Wilder would be mad not to rematch immediately. The reason being, they could almost double the revenue in a rematch from their last fight. That's big bread to bring into negotiations for an AJ fight.
Hearn pretty much has the monopoly over Wembley and the millennium stadium, or whatever it’s called these days. If Warren has any sense, he should look at Croke Park in Dublin as a venue. Easy to get to from any UK city, especially with Ryanair etc & it’s pretty much in central Dublin. A short walk from there to main streets. Used to hosting huge crowds for GAA & concerts. Fury should rematch Wilder next & given how easy it was to make the fight initially, I don’t see why the rematch should be any different. Can’t see any interim fight being a Matchroom boxer so maybe Parker.
Fury/Wilder in croker? That'd be the dream. I'm from Dublin. The novelty of such a big fight happening in Dublin would sell it out quickly. Everyone I know would want a ticket. PPV time perfect for UK. I like it!! Would hold over 80,000 for those who don't know.
If not Wilder or Joshua then I hope he targets the next best possible opponent. Somebody dangerous to keep him motivated, and further cement his position as number 1. Ortiz, Povetkin or Whyte would be my choice.
I hope he beats Ortiz next and forces his way in to the mandatory position. If AJ fights Whyte then Whyte will relinquish his position with the WBC so this would be a final eliminator.
If he cant get AJ in April and lets face it the fight with Whyte has already been signed so thats not going to happen, then he has 3 great options: Ortiz, Povektin or Pulev. Any of those 3 fights would keep him motivated and build towards the fight against AJ in October of 2019. World Number 2 HW vs World Number 1 HW. I am already now assuming Wilder doesnt ever face Fury in a rematch or come to England to face AJ. Thats my assumption now.
I can see Eddie looking to make the Joshua v wilder fight now. He won't want any part of fury and losing the belts to wilder would be better than to fury. Also if Josh beat wilder it would freeze Tyson out for a longer period of time. If Tyson was to beat wilder on a rematch he could call out the Josh fight quicker. Tyson should push the wbc now for a rematch
Yes bro they are the only 3 that i think would motivate him enough. Helenius, Teper would be boring as hell and im sure we will see a similar Fury to that when he fought Seferi. Fury now needs to keep fighting the top teir. Its funny as fcuk cos i been a fan since day one and now seeing all this support for Fury is great! He finally getting some of the respect he deserves.
If he wants to improve his ranking with the WBA Trevor Bryan would be a decent stay busy fight as he is the interim WBA Champion and unbeaten. Plus he’d be willing to travel for the right money I’d imagine. I doubt the Wilder rematch happens next.
Would Wilder want to risk another fight with Fury? He could take an easy all US fight in Breazeale, see if the exposure from his Fury fight has raised his profile enough to make him a genuine PPV attraction. Then go for the AJ money. Whereas if he fights Fury he's facing a tricky opponent who now knows he's back at a top level and has the beating of him. As for Fury, if I were him I'd make an offer to Charr and take that belt out of the jaws of Miller and Hearn. Fury is the only man on the planet who could make that belt meaningful and that would translate into a better share in any fight against AJ or Wilder.
Agree re Charr. I obviously wouldn't give the belt any credence but it's an easy sell to the casuals. Another training camp for Fury and a handy win that he'll likely get the stoppage in. Why not?
